    Adding one more point…

If you have webMethods licensed version (not free trail), you can have an option to install documentation during your installation process. They will be stored in a specific folder on your file system.

    -HTH

    Additionally information (from Empower Home-Page):

    April 14, 2014
    Referred here from techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem/documentation?

Change of Access to Software AG’s Product Documentation as of April 14, 2014

With the goal of consolidating Software AG’s product documentation in a single secure and centralized location, we have integrated the public documentation from http://techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem/documentation into the Software AG Customer Portal Empower.

To ensure you are able to access the documentation in its new location:

If you are a Software AG customer or partner with current Empower credentials, no action is required as documentation access via Empower is unchanged. Links and bookmarks to http://techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem/documentation will remain valid.
If you are an existing Tech Community user, you can access the documentation via the Communities menu.
If you do not have a Tech Community profile, you can register at http://techcommunity.softwareag.com, specifying documentation as an area of interest. You will be asked for some details (name, company, reason for your interest in our documentation), and will be able to access the documentation when your request has been approved.

Please email documentation@softwareag.com if you have any questions or concerns.

    Regards,
    Holger

    Hi,

I prefer accessing documentation either from Empower or from TechCommunity (http://techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem/communities/public/_communities/documentation), as these are the official locations and are updated when needed.

Other locations outside of the two mentioned here might not be in sync with the latest versions and releases.
Additionally these sites might be violating copyrights when they host the files without permission from SAG.

    @Mahesh:
The installable documentation has been removed from installer in wM 9.8 for reasons of actuality.
The installable version was only reflecting the version at the release date of the wM version, but was not updated afterwards.
The versions on Empower and TechCommunity are updated when informations in the guides are changig.

    Regards,
    Holger

    Hi Mahesh,

    sure, I have noticed this.

I just wanted to point out that it is no longer available in current releases and why this has changed.

My TechCommunity account has just been granted for accessing documentation pages.

However when I try checking the page of Designer (http://techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem/documentation/webmethods/wmsuites/wmsuite9-12/Designer/8-3-SP8_Application_Designer/overview.htm), I keep getting the Not Found error :

"The requested resource was not found.

    http://techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem;jsessionid=411A9B21B853FC530FB1FCD55FCA2E74"

Can anyone please help? Documentation of Designer is the most important part I need access for.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Jimmy

    Hi Jimmy,

most likely you are looking for the wrong document.

On this section (http://techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem/documentation/webmethods/designer/sdf912/index.htm) you should start with “Working with Software AG Designer” and the go ahaed with “Service Development Help”, “BPM Process Development Help” and “CAF and OpenCAF Development Help”.

After this you can continue with other Development Help Guides.

    Regards,
    Holger
