Wanted to know the details for the error message seen in ISIM WAS logs and why the below exception is generated.
com.ibm.itim.ws.services.WSLoginServiceException: Password check failed for user
It is difficult to answer generic questions like that without knowing your environment. But the message is due to an ISIM WebService login attempt that fails - the most obvious reason could be a wrong or expired password - but it could also be for a user (person) that no longer exists in ISIM.
