I have been trying so long and maybe one of you experienced Cognos 11.2.3 report builders have a solution for setting up a detail visualization (using the new viz) on a detail page of a page set.
I created a report with a page set, that is grouped by business unit ID. The idea is, to show data from a single business unit on a page. I can insert e.g. a crosstab on such a page and do a master-detail-relationship to the page set query and everything works fine.
Now I wanted to insert an area chart on such a detail page. But I was not able to find out, how to link/filter the charts query to the current detail business unit. I have read the "Create a master-detail relationship" documentation and tried this using first a repeater, and later a page query. I was facing the following situations:

• A direct master-detail-relationship from the visualization to the page set query is not possible, since the menu item did not show up in the context menu of the chart. When provided with data, the chart appears, but not filtered;
• Inserting the visualization in a repeater, or using a page query, showed up the master-detail-relationship to the repeater or page in the context menu;
• As long as no master-detail relationship is set in the repeater, or the page, respectively, nor in the chart, the unfiltered data is showing up;
• As soon as a master-detail relationship is set in the repeater, or the page, or the chart, or both, the message "Mandatory data set "Data" has no data in the associated query result."

I have tried many different ways (also using lists), but was never able to show a detail chart, or to make the master-detail-relationship in a visualization work.
Maybe one of you has had the same challenge and found a solution?
