    1. sh –xv Importvg –y osshomdbvg hdisk10

    1. synchronize the lvcb, the database and the volume group information in LVM
    2. Pass the -K flag (don't lock VG) to synclvodm.
    3. The VG is already locked from putlvodm above
    synclvodm -K $RFLAG $LFLAG $L_DEVICE $FFLAG $VGNAME
    + synclvodm -K osshomdbvg
synclvodm: No logical volumes in volume group osshomdbvg.

I had view that on the VIOS :
lqueryvg -Atp hdisk# retourn "0" on LV Count field !!?

Did i lost my LV ??? please help me.

    Thanks,

How did you migrate VIOS disks from SAN to another?
Did you make any changes to LPAR specific storage too?

what does lspv, lsvg, lsvg -o (and if osshomdbvg variedon, lsvg -l vgname, lsvg -p vgname) output look like on LPAR?

    Thank you for your help.

    Here my responses :

How did you migrate VIOS disks from SAN to another?
We migrate from EMC SAN to Hitachi VSP Solution. We had installed HDLM on the two VIOS and we had verified that to LPAR are OK and importvg here are OK also.

Did you make any changes to LPAR specific storage too?
No change to LPAR. the rootvg are activated normally.
what does lspv, lsvg, lsvg -o (and if osshomdbvg variedon, lsvg -l vgname, lsvg -p vgname) output look like on LPAR?

your lpar (ptsm0ev i believe is the name) still has EMC SAN provisioned to it from VIOS?

or could it be that you now have new Hitachi SAN on your lpars too. If so, did you or your SAN Admin first rezone/mirror/migrate the data somehow? Did you make changes to your vhosts mapping. There is a LOT to check, i can't even possibly write every single thing, but to start with check your vhosts mapping (on VIOS) and go from there (lsmap -all |more), lsdev -Cc disk (what do you see EMC, Hitachi or both), what disks are mapped to your lpar (EMC or Hitachi)

Have you an explication for :

    1. Synclvodm: No logical volumes in volume group osshomdbvg
did i lost my data if my disks are good ?

    2. Is there a specific action if the content of the volume group is LV raw type for Informix ?

I hope it was not of malice from we ?

    Thank you,

I still dont know what type of disks do you have (both Before and After your changes), how was data migrated to new disk, if that is the case. you shouldnt be losing data just like that. Do you have lunid info (before and after, disk sizes etc), I won't soley rely on "pvid", you gotta look further. Don't know what & how synclvodm would help any in solving this case.
