If the fingerprint image is not appearing in Datacap Studio, it might be that the path in the database which points to the images is now incorrect.
If you open the Fingerprint database, there's a table called Template. Within that table is one row for each fingerprint. There are two columns, one of which stores the path to the CCO file and the other of which stores the path to the Image. If the path has changed between the old system and the new, it's necessary to update the data in these two columns.
If you update the database, you must reconnect to it in Datacap Studio to see the result of the changes.

Thank you, Shaun.
I will compare the settings.
When I open some of the fingerprints in the Zones tab of Datacap Studio in 9.1.9, the image view is not coming on the right side panel. I am seeing the images in the fingerprints folder along with the .cco file and the properties. The fields snap information is also present (fields highlighted in blue).
Is there an issue with the fingerprints?
Thanks
Raj

Hi Raj,
The OCR settings can be changed inside Datacap Studio. I would start by comparing the 9.1.9 settings with those from 9.0.1.
- Open Datacap Studio and log into the application.
- Click the Zones tab.
- In the Document Hierarchy, select the document/page combination.
- Select the ICR/C tab (I noticed that this is the engine you're using, but you might also want to compare the OCR/S settings).
- In the Properties window, you'll see the current engine settings. To change these, you must lock the DCO by clicking the Padlock icon (see screenshot) and then make sure that any changes are saved by clicking the Save button afterwards.
You could also look inside the log file recog icr_s.rrs for any clues as to why OCR might be failing. Again, you could compare the log files from the two systems side by side.

Hi Shaun,
Thank you for the suggestions.
Yes, I compared the CCO file size and you were correct...it was considerably higher (51kb).
How do I adjust the OCR settings you mentioned in item 1?
I did the version comparison from 9.0.1 through 9.1.7 (the last IBM supported version) and did not see any functionality change to the Medical Claims module.
Thanks
Raj

Hi Raj,
I don't believe that your OCR process in version 9.1.9 is working correctly. The CCO file contains recognised text along with metadata such as character positions and confidence values. These are used in Verify to enable Click n Key to take place. The CCO file in your screenshot is only 1Kb in size - I would normally expect it to be larger than that, particularly given your sample image. Here are two suggestions:
- Compare the size of the CCO files produced by Datacap 9.1.9 with those produced by Datacap 9.0.1. If the older version is bigger, it will point to some adjustment of the OCR settings needed.
- I noticed that you're using ICR_C for OCR. This can recognise machine print, but is aimed at handwriting. You could try using OCR_S instead.
- Alternatively, insert the CreateTextFile action from Shared Recognition Tools before RecognisePage_ICR_C. This should cause a text file to be created in the Batch folder which contains the recognised text:
.
I noticed that your application is slightly different to mine (the task names are different - the oldest version of Datacap I have readily available is 9.1.5) and I wonder whether there were some changes between version 9.0.1 and 9.1.5 which would explain the different behaviours between them.
Many thanks,
Shaun

Hi Shaun,
Yes, I do have an associated CCO file and P_Verify is set to the program "Multiple".
Attached are the screenshots.
Thanks
Raj

Hi Raj,
- Do you have any CCO files in your Batch folder, like this:
- Please could you tell me what your Program is set to for P_Verify? (Accessed via the Administrator tab in TMWeb)
Many thanks

Hi Shaun,
Thank you for the response.
Yes, I am using Microsoft Edge browser and attached is the screenshot for the OCR issue. The PageID was successful and identified correctly as PClaim. I am unable to drag and drop or use Click N Key the fields from the image on to the form fields.
I have not made any changes to the Medical Claims version running in 9.0.1 server, but using the same version of the application in 9.1.9 server. I did not make any changes to the OCR functionality.

Hi Raj,
I've never upgraded Medical Claims, but I have carried out several upgrades of Datacap. By the way, the URL that you referenced relates to FastDoc. Medical Claims cannot be used with FastDoc.
1. If you're using Datacap Web in Datacap 9.1.9, are you using the Microsoft Edge Browser? TMWeb is only supported in Microsoft Edge running in IE Compatibility Mode:
https://ibm.com/support/pages/how-many-web-browsers-does-datacap-web-clienttmweb-support
2. If you are using the Edge Browser in IE Compatibility Mode, please could you check whether OCR is occurring successfully? You should see this indicated in the Log Files for the appropriate Task (Recog OCR_S or Recog ICR_C). E.g. the action RecognizePageOCR_S should return True. You could temporarily add the CreateTextFile() action from Shared Recognition Tools to the function, just before the ReognizePageOCR_S action. This will cause a text file to be created in the Batch Folder containing the recognised text.
3. Upgrading from version 9.0.1 to version 9.1.9 is a major upgrade and it could be that there are other dependencies that need to be checked, e.g. are pages being classified correctly? If for some reason Page ID is failing, all pages could remain as page type Other, or be incorrectly classified, so no OCR will take place.
I hope this helps - please check and let me know.

Hi,
I migrated Datacap Medical Claims application from 9.0.1 to 9.1.9. In prof-verify and inst-verify panels, I am unable to populate the fields using Click N Key (dragging and dropping fields from the image). It was working fine in 9.0.1 version. I checked below link, but unable to find where I can enable "Perform Full Page Recognition" in TMWeb client.
Using Click N key to capture data
Ibm | remove preview |
| Using Click N key to capture data | Use the Click N Key feature to select the index data in the Verify pane that you want to capture. The Click N Key feature captures multiple lines text. | View this on Ibm > |
