Using Tomcat of the Tamino WebDAV installation

  • 1.  Using Tomcat of the Tamino WebDAV installation

    Posted Tue December 11, 2001 10:45 AM

    X-Application Version: 3.1.1
    Tamino Version : 3.1.1
    Platform : NT, Win2k, Solaris, …
    WebContainer : Tomcat 3.3
    JDK Version : 1.3.1

JSP technology needs an JDK for compilation of the pages.
The Tamino WebDAV server installs a Tomcat 3.3. The installation uses a preinstalled jdk or jre, e.g. the JRE that comes with Tamino 3.1.
In this case, JSP will not work. The pages cannot be compiled.
    To avoid this:

    • install jdk1.3 before the WebDAV installation OR
    • use another tomcat instance and set the environment variable JAVA_HOME (see readme.txt for further explanation).

    Regards, Harald
