We would like to encourage all ZD&T users to post 'how to' questions they may have on this ZD&T forum. The entire community of users will benefit as we share and grow a base of helpful information over time.  That said, we would like everyone to understand that some questions posted may not be answered in this forum due to the limits of the knowledge and experience of participating forum members.

The ZD&T team will prioritize answering basic questions about the ZD&T platform (including cloud requirements, ZD&T Tools spedification, PE/EE/PS installation, configuration of Linux, the System z hardware emulator, and z/OS as it relates specifically to ZD&T) before pursuing other inquiries.  For any question or issue raised by an ZD&T customer that requires a significant amount of investigative work in the areas of product installation, the System z hardware emulator, or product documentation, we will encourage opening a PMR with the IBM support team.

Any questions relating to the normal operations of z/OS or z/OS products like CICS, DB2, IMS, or MQ will be reviewed and answered if the team is able to provide an answer.  Otherwise, the ZD&T team will try to provide guidance to a more appropriate forum or support avenue for the specific question raised.  For example, a question on how to configure DB2 may be referred to an appropriate DB2 forum.

Finally, in addition to searching the forum for 'how to' information, we encourage you to review the list of ZD&T tech notes published on the Z Development and Testing Hub:
