  • 1.  Upgrade from 6.1 to 8.2

    Hi,

    I just wanted to know if it was possible to do some kind of migration from a 6.1 webMethods server to a 8.2? If it’s possible, does anyone know how long would take all the adjustments to do? If you need more details just let me know!

    hi Jean-Philippe, I’m afraid there is no tested, supported, direct path from 6.1 to 8.2. I believe you would need to first upgrade to the latest release of 6.5, 7.1, or 8.0/8.1 - those all offer direct paths to 8.2 (see Upgrading webMethods Products 8.2 on the SAG documentation website).

    Hi Jean-Philippe,
    Eventhough 6.1 to 8.2 is not officially supported, we have helped a customer xerox to move from 6.1. to 8.2.
    We have developed a Upgrade utility and used that in the xerox upgrade project.
