Updating Record definition DTD's or Schema

  • 1.  Updating Record definition DTD's or Schema

    Hi,
    I’m receiving updates of DTDs and Schemas.
    How should I apply those updates in my Records definitions?

    Is all mapping, dependancies and else will be lost when applying theses updates?

    I think you can do it in a couple of ways.

    1. Delete the existing record definitions (despite the dependencies) and then re-create the records using the new DTD/Schema. You don’t need to remap.
    2. You can edit the record definitions manually to reflect the changes to the DTD/Schema.
