This sounds awesome! Thanks a lot for the in depth update. I was already excited when you talked about it in the tech talk, but this is really a big step forward in terms of user-friendliness.

Hi James,
I'm excited for this feature as well! There are number of new use cases this feature will enable, especially when combined with the new file management in TM1 v12. This is still a work in progress and will likely be delivered in a Q4 release of Planning Analytics Workspace.
The feature we are working on will support rich text in string cells in the cube viewer and single cell widget. Rich text includes hyperlinks, lists, headers, and a few other options. The screenshot below is a preview of the rich text editor. A lot of the current work is making sure rich text also works with the other recent formatting enhancements in the Workspace cube viewer. When enabled, the rich text editor will replace the current simple text editor for string cells.

In the above screenshot the string cell in the cube viewer is not yet rendering the hyperlink as a hyperlink. We plan to support a single click on the hyperlink in the cell to open a new browser tab (you won't need to open the rich text editor to click the link).
We will eventually extend rich text support to annotations as well. This includes annotations in Universal Reports (which will use the same annotation dialog as Workspace).

Hi Stuart,
Is there any update for the feature hyperlinks in the text fields ? This is a long-waited feature for some of our clients and frankly if we have this working, we can build any type of custom drill through actions.
In one of the product calls, I was told that this feature will be added in the next release, not sure if that next release is out yet.

We are planning on a big update to the view drill through in the upcoming Workspace 2.0.105 release. Here is a bit of a preview.

Note that if you disable one of the cube viewer toolbar button (e.g MDX, Export, Save, Sandbox buttons) the same button will be disabled in the toolbar in the drill through. If the Set editor is disabled on the source view the drill view then the set editor will be disabled in the drill view.
Formatting from the format manager in the source view will also be applied to the drill view.
There is another change in progress (planned for 106) for drilling to views in the modeling workbench to allow the drill view to be added as a new workbench tab.

Hi Grischa,
I'm looking forward to these improvements, too. I am from the good ole TM1Web websheet era, where a user could click on a cell and using the Excel "Cell" formula we'd pick up their selections and pass them to TI processes, or open applications.
I suggested this Idea, which I've been told is quite difficult, so my next best way forward is using drill-through's.
I really like your idea, opening up the drill through posibilities and adding configuration options within the setup.
My main drill-through issues currently are;
- Make the drill window floatable, so I can drag it away from the main view, and continue working with the source screen.
- Add a button "Add to new book" or the ability to save my view
- Access to the Subset Editor
- Ability to run a drill without a destination view (Similar to your idea, where we drill to "Load Data", we may just want a success message, not a destination view)
Cheers

Hi all,
I am very thrilled to see that one of the most overlooked legacy features of TM1 will finally see an update in the near future and that seems to be an improved drill-through experience.
Not sure what is exactly planned, but if I may I'd like to remind everyone of a concept that I brought in as an IBM Idea approximately one and a half years ago, where I basically asked for an improved drill-through experience that would also allow us developers to be able to define the drills with more options, return user-messages, etc. Not sure what is planned exactly, but just wanted to show my gratitude towards the IBM development team that they picked up the topic.
Here is the link to the before mentioned idea: IBM Ideas
Cheers
