  • 1.  Update from RBD from 9.0.0 to 9.1

    Hi

    to migrate from RBD 9.0.0 to RBD to 9.1, how can i do ?  i have to download it form Passport advantage or i can update  directly from installation manager ?

    Sorry but i don' t remenber

    m-d is correct.   RBD 9.1 is a new install.  You must download it from Passport Advantage first and then you can install.   You do not have to uninstall 9.0 first, but you can create a new "group" and install 9.1 in parallel.

    Hi

    and if i would upgade to 9.0.1 ? is the same or is there another way ??  i tried to run "Check for update" (from RBD 9.0) but i receive the message "there are no update sites to search"

    Hi,

    you can upgrade your RBD from 9.0.0 to 9.0.1 with the Installation Manager.

    I just tried it to be sure that it matched my understanding that you could upgrade from 9.0 to 9.0.1 as well.

    attached what happend when i run "upgrafe" from Ins. manager..   the problem seem that don't  ahve connected any  repositori ...  how can create one and then connect ?

    Two things:

    Have you updated your Installation Manager recently.  There was a security change and I have seen this type of error come up when the installation Manager was a down level.  See the following link

    Product updates not found when using IBM Installation Manager 1.7.3.1 or older 

    and

    IBM Installation Manager 1.7.3.1 or older cannot connect to HTTPS servers that have SSL security protocol disabled

    In your preferences, you should go to "Preferences->Updates" and make sure the "Search for Installation Manager" updates is checked.   This should allow you to update IM to the latest levels and then go back and try the update.
