    Hi All

For testing purposes, i have taken a disk level copy of the UAT server(in which WAS6.1 is installed with 3 Application servers in 1 profile)  in to a new server.

When i stop the application servers in the new server, it is getting stopped in the old UAT server.

I have just taken the disk level copy of the UAT server, in order to avoid this problem, could you please tell me what are the changes need to be done in the new UAT server, to avoid intact between the two servers.

    Details:
    O.S-AIX 6.1
    WAS-6.1.0.29
    No cluster
    Profiles-1(AppSrv01)(3 Application servers- Apps,Comms,batch)

    Hi Hari,

I suggest to edit your serverindex.xml in the new machine and change old hostname to new one. Or to one that is locally resolved (putting it in your etc/hosts file)

      PROFILE_NAME\config\cells\CELLNAME\nodes\NODENAME\serverindex.xml

Take in mind that your procedure is not the "best".

      Hope this helps.
