    Hi all,

I issue 'uimcheck' command to check if zD&T v10 instance can access software license server normally and i am getting the following error message:

    [ibmsys1@localhost ~]$ uimcheck

The UIM client is configured in remote mode.

INFO UIMCHECK serial number entry not yet added to local data base.

    Local Host Name....... localhost.localdomain
    Local machine UUID.... 578B65BC-95AA-11E6-9788-F0DEF1FD1320

    Remote server......... 172.16.33.20
    Remote server port.... 9451

The remote QUERY command executed successfully.
The UUID for this machine does not exist in the remote servers data base.
Local UUID for this machine is 578B65BC-95AA-11E6-9788-F0DEF1FD1320.

Could you Help me on this issue ?

Hi David, this is the normal condition if you have never activated your zD&T local (client) instance or after a "uimreset" command.

If it's the first time, you must start UIM component in the zD&T License Manager instance using the command "uimserverstart". UUID information will be created by the first time you execute the command "awsstart" in the zD&T client.

Please, take a look at https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSTQBD_10.0.1/com.ibm.zsys.rdt.guide.activ.doc/topics/c_software_based_license_server.html.
