The meaning of the sum-of-squares for "intercept" in GLM univariate analysis

    Would you please help me to understand what the sum-of-squares for "intercept" in GLM univariate analysis means? When I applied a simple test data, X(covariate)=(1,2) and Y(dependent)=(2,3), the SS was 0.2 in the result table. It was different from 1, the value that I expected.
