    Tommi,

    The PowerVC 2.3 documentation says it supports SV v8.6

    Storage Partitions were introduced at SV v8.6.1

    This is just my thoughts but if a volume group is configured on SV and has a HA policy defained than I would expect that PowerVC just needs to create the volumes, map them to the host and then configure the volumes to be part of the VG with the HA policy.

    I'm assuming PVC can assign a voume to a VG.

    At this time PowerVC doesn't support PBHA (this includes v2.3).  I've attempted to find out when this support will be introduced, but as yet I haven't received an answer.

    Looking at the v2.3 docs I don't see any reference to volume groups either.

    Seems  you could use PVM to deploy the volumes but you'd then have manually to add the volumes to the VG.

    Yeah, that would probably work, though not ideal.

    Our storage architect would like to upgrade the code on our arrays and start using PBHA, but PowerVC support is holding use back.

    Agree, not ideal.

    They always seem a but slow to put latest SV features in to PVC. I remember having to wait quite a while for PVC to support D-RAID arrays.
