Cognos Analytics 11.5 on premises.
We have recently created a block of reports that contain subreports with drilldown data linked from the main report. When the main report is run and no subreport is clicked through, the main report appears in the recents list. This is good.
When a subreport is clicked through, the subreport runs and appears in the recents list to the exclusion of the main report. This is bad.
The subreports require pre-selected parameters from the main report to run successfully. When clicked from recents list, the subreport generates an error. This confuses users.
Is there any workaround for this feature?
I am not the report developer, but is there a way to redirect the subreport to the main report if no parameters are provided (we are working on this)?
Is there an option in Cognos or hack to show the main report only and exclude subreports from recents list?
Currently our best option is to hide the recents list from the group of users affected.
Any help to resolve this matter is greatly appreciated.
