    Not that its anyone's responsibility, but, after downloading the Samba 3.0.4 from Bullfreeware for AIX, I gunzip, and untar the .bff pkg (and install it via smit) when I go to execute the smbd (#>smbd -D )nothing spawns in the process table. No error messages or anything else. I am running it as root. Any clues as why it wouldn't spawn? The nmbd and winbindd do the same thing.
