    I want to know if it is a good practice to deploy a RuleApp from RD 8.10.2 to Decision Server 8.8.1.

    It's not recommended to have a mismatch between components of decision server (RES and rule designer). The reason for this is that there could be protocol changes between the two versions. Then there is a risk with the decision engine not being compatible. Additionally, one of the major issues is the JDK versions between the two releases of ODM. Those won't be compatible and would give errors at runtime.
