  • 1.  Set bootlist of a stopped LPAR

    We have automated the cloning (with adjustments) of our primary site LPAR profiles to our DRP site and also automated the replication of their associated SAN disks (accessed thru vFC/NPIV/VIOS).

    We would like to be able to boot directly the cloned LPARs without having to boot into SMS mode to set boot device.

    Is there a way to do that (for exemple from HMC...) ? Is there a kind of tool that can modify the NVRAM of cloned LPARs (like LPM process does) that have never booted before ?

    NB : we cannot do LPM because our SAN does not span across our 2 sites.

    There's nothing in the manual that suggests such a function is available, however, VMRM/DR does that (probably through the liberal usage of expect).
