  • 1.  services hung

    Posted Fri December 15, 2006 03:45 AM

It is times when from any reason some services stay hung for long period of time
(e.g. pub.client.ftp:login ) . Due to this I can’t restart IS in a normal way. Moreover some threads are blocked due to the same reason.
How I could “kill” these instances of services?

    Thank you

    Hi,

There is no option to kill the instance of services other than shutting down the server.

if you are not able to restart/shutdown the IS in a normal way, I would suggest the best thing is take Thread dumps and see what is stopping for IS shutting down in normal way.

you can capture Thread dumps and send to support for analysis. For instructions about taking thread dumps please refer to the Advanced Troubleshooting guide in advantage.

    thanks and regards,
    deepa
