Dear all, with all modernisation discussions ongoing and introducing ZCX Open Shift to traditional mainframe customers more often the question arose if SAP S4/HANA can run under ZCX Open Shift. Unfortunately, none of Red Hat / SAP / IBM resources even mention this option for a discussion. It is obviously an option to containerize all S/4 HANA under POWER. So, why not under ZCX? Are there any technical reasons a Z and ZCX Open Shift would not be a valid option. I understand that SAP prefers their own products, which are not Z orientated. However, if you start on a Greenfield migrating legacy applications or plan a hybrid installation where legacy applications and microservices run in parallel, customers discuss to use ZCX Open Shift on Z instead of maintaining server farms. This might not apply to all customers but the question has been heard many times now but I can't find any good / if any answers looking for S/4 HANA. Maybe you can share your experiences / or resources. Many thanks. Regards, Udo Teipel
