  • 1.  Samba CTDB on AIX 7.2

    I have successfully installed Samba 4.14.4.2 with CTDB on AIX 7.2 TL5 on top of GPFS .
    due to couple of issue which are observed my first question is if what is scope of functionality CTDB on AIX,
    here i thinking if samba can manage my Public IP for example takeover IP between nodes ?

    CTDB functionality in samba is primarily developed and tested in Linux --> https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/CTDB_and_Clustered_Samba

    When we enabled CTDB in AIX Toolbox Samba, we tested some basic things but managing public IP addresses pool is not part of that.

    Would you advice what exact of part of functionality of CTDB,  works or were tested on AIX i need to more details  ?, just I wonder if are any chance to use this along with GPFS?

    You can try CTDB on a GPFS-clustered Samba but we have never tested that.
