  • 1.  Revision to database view imported via db clie

    Posted Mon July 25, 2022 07:04 PM
    Hello,

We have created a few views in Oracle DB and created the same in MAXIMO with the same name as the name in DB. It automatically brought over the columns names.

We now want to add a few more columns to the view. We added them in the view from DB client.

Any idea how to reflect the same in MAXIMO?

    1) Do I need to drop the existing view in MAXIMO
    2) config db
    3) Add the same view with the new columns
    4) and config db again?

    Any shortcuts?

I believe you will end dropping the view in Maximo and configuring it again. I'm not aware of any shortcuts on this process.

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/creating-non-auto-select-view-using-database-configuration-application

"Once the object has been created, any changes to the view must be made on the native database. You cannot alter an imported view from Maximo. If the view has been altered on the database, in any way, then the corresponding object in Maximo must be deleted and re-created using the steps above."
