    What is a repository in Integration Server, where is it located and what is its functionality in webMethods.

    WmRepository4 directory files contain metadata of IS configuration information e.g. any elements which are locked , audit subsystem schema definition etc. if the files in this directory get corrupted , you might not be able to start the server. Which you need to backup and delete. When you restart the IS, its re-creates those files …

    These files are Critical Integration Server Data Files that must be backed up for recovery purposes. The loss of
    these files could result in loss of configuration information and may require manual reconfiguration. The WmRepository4 folder can be located in webMethods installation directory/IntegrationServer folder.

    Yes even though and repository get corrupted and after deleted action it would recreate upon restart IS and you should be good in this scenarios.
