We know that if the MCS is changed (currently 4) we need to restate the managed system (we won't change it), but are wondering if the VIO server needs to be rebooted to 'release' the promiscuous attribute after we DLPAR the lp-hea out?

A colleague seems to think he read this requirement somewhere but so far I am unable to find any reference to it.

Has anyone any experience removing the 'P' attribute?
