What will happen to the system? if I remove the mirroring copy of hd6, the default paging space, and just leave one copy of ps on the hdisk0. Which IBM paper has discussion about the adv and disadv?

1.) create additional paging on high speed disk with desired size
2.) make sure additional paging is auto activated during the boot
3.) edit /etc/rc.nfs add the following at the end of file

    swapoff /dev/hd6
    sleep 20
4.) after system is up verify using lsps -a

I went to this path because the default mirrored paging was causing too much of IO to rootvg disk. We experienced the problem where the system almost goes to hung state because of IO activity on default paging hd6.

    Hope it helps.

you'll still need a lot of works before you can boot up the box. If you
and your management can let these go, it's not an issue but I'd never
recommend doing it. However, if your management (I didn't say YOU) decides
to go for it, you (the ONE doing all the recovery should bad things happens)
should cut frequent mksysbs AND make sure that your local IBM CE can get
you a replacement drive easily. You are in Mexico right? Do think about
    drive availability.

So we have to work out something else to optimize the performance. I hope my mexican boss can foresee the benefit by providing us more budgets for memory at least.
Thanks for your references. At least, they enhance my personal knowledge for MY future.
