    I created a logical volume with a filesystem to be used as an informix chunk on AIX6.1 server.

    However, the informix administrator decided to create the informix chunk using the block device instead of filesystem.

    Now the informix chunk is in use with a database attached to it.

    If i remove the filesystem from this logical volume is there a possibility to corrupt or lose data of this logical volume?
