Remote server alias problems

    I am trying to set up a remote server alias for the purpose of being able to remotely invoke Integration Server services.

    I am having a networking problem. I can define remote server aliases for localhost, but not for any server that is actually remote.

    I suspected a problem with URLs in general and sure enough I can not connection to any URLs expept the local machine.

    However IE works fine. Very strange.

    If anyone has seen this, RSVP. I think it is some kind of Java networking issue.

    Have you checked your local IS Proxy settings? If the remote server is in your LAN you typically have to bypass the firewall for your remote IS. Only localhost ist bypassed by default.
