  • 1.  Referencing beans

When I try to add a reference to a bean, or when I do show all beans only the beans from the current project are shown.

Is it possible to reference beans from other projects.

i.e. I have a “common” project with core portlets such as shell and navigation items. I have other projects representing modules of an overall application. I want to refer to some of the “common” portlet beans from within the module portlets.

    Regards

    Niall

No, you cannot refer to other project’s managed beans. If you want to share data across portlets or projects then there is a concept of portlet wiring.
