Recommended testing cycles for WCS implementation

    I am installing a second phase of the following WCS System:


    • WebSphere Commerce v.7 Feature Pak 6 64-bit

    • Includes WebSphere Application Server v7.x 64-bit

    • Includes IBM HTTP Server v7.x 64-bit

    • Includes DB2 Database Server 9.7 64-bit


    Project is to enable WCS to for SAP back end SAP.

    First Phase had 2 cycles of System Integration testing (SIT) & was successful.

    Question: How many cycles of SIT should be performed in 2nd phase?
    What is best practice?
    3rd phase will impact timeline & cost & I must assess if it is worth doing.
