  • 1.  RDZ Host Emulator Error - 657

    Hi All,

    I am able to connect to mainframe server thru RDZ but, when I try to connect "RDZ Hostemulator", its simply flash Error - 657.

    Which is due to SSL certificate configuration, Please help me to configure SSL.

    Hi Ruchin,

    I have a few questions for you.

    * By "mainframe server" do you the real zOS or the zPDT box?
    * What exactly does "connect RDZ Hostemulator" mean (i.e., what were the exact steps you took before attempting to the connect?
    * Where is this error 657 presented and why do you think it has something to do with SSL?
    * Did you followed the procedure for setting up SSL for RDz as outlined in the RDz Host Config. Guide?

    Hi Domingo,

    Thanks for your support,

    • Mainframe server means "zserveros.demos.ibm.com" Sandbox I think
    • In order to install CICS maps I need to use RDZ Host Emulator [which is
    similar to terminal 320]
    • Error 657 is displayed on Terminal, i had check on internet its says issue with SSL configuration.
    • No i did not follow any procedure for SSL can u please help me out.

    I am getting bellow messages when i try to connect

    Connecting to host ZSERVEROS.DEMOS.IBM.COM, port 23 ...
    Connection to host ZSERVEROS.DEMOS.IBM.COM failed

    Hi Dave,

    I tried but still I am getting same error 657, I think their is some issues with correct ssl certificate.

    I dont know what to do know, please help.
