When I go into the DB2 Admin tool and choose option 2Z - Manage system parameters and then choose option
1 - Display Parameters/Generate DSNZPARM source, I am able to display the current ZPARMS settings successfully.
However, from this display of the ZPARMS when I change one of the parameters and let’s assume CONDBAT is
changed from 10000 to 9000 and hit PF3 I get a confirmation screen that asks me to confirm the member
replacement. I then enter a 1 in response to this question. I then get the following error:

FTINCL error occurred reading ADB2ZZSK. Return code = 20. Reason code = 0.
The second error I am encountering occurs when I choose option 2 - Assemble and Linkedit DSNZPARM module. I get the following error:

HIGH LEVEL ASSEMBLER - INTERRUPT AND DIAGNOSTIC DUMP HLASM R6.0 2012/09/11 16.12
    • * ASMA999U Assembly terminated - SYNAD Exit taken - Permanent I/O error on SYSIN data set
    ,IBMUSER ,ISPFPROC,0A8D,D,SYSIN ,UNKOWN,WRNG.LEN.RECORD,00000917000B1A,QSAM

I was logged on using RACF ID IBMUSER when I experienced these errors.

    I found this reference - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PK90881

Is it possibly related? Any advice?

    Thanks.

This looks similar enough that I would try applying PTF UK56307 to correct the problem. You'll need to acquire this service using a real mainframe service contract since we don't provide support for the z/OS components of RDz-UT/ RDT.

fyi... in the future you should use traditional z/OS support channels to ask questions about the OS, subsystems, and compilers. You might find answers here, however, since there is no formal support, the "real" experts don't hang out here.
