  • 1.  RDi 9.8 - French and english

    Hello, i installed RDi 9.8, i have a problem with the software language. Looks like RSE is in french and the rest of the software half english/french.

    I can't find the setting for the software language.

    Hi Michel,

    I had the exact same issue (with Dutch and English).

    You can force the IDE language by adding a parameter to the startup string, which you can find in the "target" property of the shortcut on Windows

    For example mine is: "C:\Program Files_IBM\IBM Rational Developer for i\RDi.exe" -nl en_us

    thanks for the reply !

    I contacted the RDi help desk, i tried this and also changed the RDI.INI file to add:

    -Duser.language=en
    -Duser.country=US

    Everything is fine now the software is in english except RSE ...

    They don't seem to be able to find the problem.
