After some research I managed to download the RBD 9.5.1 Update package and install it through Help >> Install new Software.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the answer.
On RBD preference Help Content Remote was disabled.
However, local help does not work and there is no option to enable it or to install.
I remember a long time ago when installing RBD V.8 in the old version Installation Manager there was an option to install local help. In the current version RDB v.9.5 and Installation Manager current version no longer have this installation option.
Is there any other way to install local help ?
Regards,
Hsieh

Hi Hsieh
Online help can be accessed here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/rbd/9.5.1.2
Online help currently cannot be accessed from RBD. You can remove the URL from the help settings, and RBD will then access the local help.

Subject: RBD-EGL iSeries and Websphere
Hi Vatsala,
I got it to work the connection between Websphere x iSeries.
It was necessary to configure the Websphere PATH to assign jt400.jar as located at IBM\RBDShared\plugins\com.ibm.datatools.db2.iseries_3.2.1000.v20151021_2024\driver.
I made the settings in the csogw.properties and gr.properties files and generated an EGL WEBTransaction program and it worked. Now I'm going to start dealing with the dynamic login part
application.*=webtrans
serverLinkage.webtrans.commtype=AS400
serverLinkage.webtrans.contable=CSOE037
serverLinkage.webtrans.location=myHost
serverLinkage.webtrans.javaProperty=myPackage
serverLinkage.webtrans.library=myLib
Thank you very much for responding and concern.
I have one more question:
What is the new URL to online help ?
I want to config the RBD Preferences --> Help --> Content
Regards,
Hsieh

Hi Vatsala,
My customer don't have RDi Modernization Tools.
They have only RBD v9.1 and Webphere Application Server v8.5.
They are doing migration from zOS to iSeries.
And today they have the legacy EGL WebTransaction and we have to make a new conection between Webphere with iSeries.

Hsieh

Hi Tom.
Thanks a lot for reply.
I have installed RDB-EGL v.9.5.1 and WTE v. 8.5.5.7.
I doing the first steps to install RAR file on Websphere TE but a can't find this rar
Program Files\IBM\SDPShared\plugins\com.ibm.etools.iseries.webtools.ae_version\lib\iseriespgmcall.rar
Where can I get this RAR file?
I remember when I was installing RBD there was only the option to download the j2c functionality for CICS and IMS. I didn't see anything for iseries or as400.
or alternatively can I use the iseries jt400.jar tool as the same thing? in the EGL settings to perform remote configurations to call a program on the iSeries and without the need to configure the WAS Resource adapters j2c.
Sorry ! I don't know if I managed to make you understand
I will need your help again.
Regards,
Hsieh

Hi Hsieh
There is a J2C Resource Adapter for iSeries that can be installed in WebSphere. More information can be found in the online reference
