    Hi Folks,

    I have a question.

    EGL is in the software product RBD and it is for System z, It is correct ?

    My customer have the system iSeries then It is bettler use RDi with EGL ?  or They need buy RDi and RBD EGL ?

    Hi,

    no it's not only for System z.

    We are programming Web Applications with RBD / EGL and deploy them on a Websphere Application Server on iSeries and Windows.

    As far as I know the RDI is for programming RPG, COBOL and CL on iSeries.

    Hi Yuan,

    You can generate Java, Javascript and/or Cobol from an EGL-source. The product is called RBD.

    When generating Cobol, your target can be zSystems or IBMi.

    RDi is an excellent tool for developers to work on RPG, COBOL, CL, C, C++, SQL, DDS - sources. In recent versions there is no package that includes EGL, afaik.
