    Hello,

I use Quip1.6.1. Could it possible to query with a word of Shift_JIS or to set the encoding?

    thanks for any helpful.

One of the big deficiencies of Quip 1.6.1 is that
it totally lacks any support for
    internationalization. The executor itself does
not support unicode and the encoding of files
    is quite arbitrary and undefined.

The next version of quip, which hopefully will be
made public by end of February, will support unicode.
    utf-8 and utf-16 file encodings
will be supported. With my current test version
of quip, I was able to make queries against
Japanese documents. (at least the result looked
correct, as far as I could tell without any
    knowledge of the Japanese language.)
