  • 1.  Publish documents locally

As there are three ways of publishing documents to, i.e, publish to broker/UM/locally to IS.

My question is in what scenario do we use publish to documents locally to IS? Give example.

    Hi,

publishing locally is not recommended at all as due to the risk of data loss.

It is recommended to use either Broker or UM instead.
As Broker development stopped with version 9.6 (can still be used by newer wM versions) when starting new implementations it is advised to use UM at least from 9.10 onwards.

    Regards,
    Holger

I would just like to know a scenario where it will be used? why do we need to publish a document locally, as alternatively we can use getFile service or any other services?

And in what way the data will be lost if we publish locally?

Can you please explain me clearly.

    Thanks.
