    HMC : from <name>@localdomain->Exchange Server ->to external domain address

    Sound to me like you should fix your Exchange Server not the HMC!!
    A few ideas:
    Are you running the latest HMC level 7.3.4?
    Have you checked the HMC Redbook for ideas?
    Next I would make a AIX Support call - they may have come across this issue before and had an answer.

    like us our HMC is running on version 6.3. we configure the send alerts since our eSA still not working for this HMC. just put the email and smtp server inside customer notification. half run through the HMC redbook, can't find how to customise to send only critical serviceable events to email. do u configure this serviceable alerts to send to handphone?
