I have a problem with PowerHA 7.1.2.  Shared storage is EMC VNX5500. Drivers are EMC MPIO drivers (no powerpath).
I work with share VG in concurrent mode. Problem always occurs when I create cluster LV or cluster FS.  On one node volume group can't start in concurrent mode. Problems are interpreted with:

CL_SET_VG_FENCE_HEIGHT ERROR in smit menu, when I tried to create lv or fs
REQUESTED OPERATION CANNOT BE PERFORMED in errpt with shvg hdisk.

It's a some type of id reservation problem. I contact with emc support, there is no id reservations on VNX storage (like on some IBM DS series).

Connection through storage is with HBA FC adapters connected via two fabrics with VNX5500.
I have configured other powerha clusters with this storage, they work without any problems, but shared LUN's are pass-through via VIOS.

Cluster error output is in attachment. If someone had experinace with this type of things, please share.

    Thanks,

We need more informations to try to help you.

Have you setted your disks for "no_reserve" at reserve_policy   ?
Have you created your VGs using cluster or you create that in AIX and put then in cluster later?
Your VGs are using the same Major Number on all nodes?
When you try to create your LVOL or Filesystem, your VG are active in concurrent mode on all nodes?
    What is your disk algorithm ? ( load_balance, fail_over , .. ) ?
Are you using hcheck_interval "enable" or "disable"? if it´s "enable", what´s the value?

    try to check that.

    Suggestions:
    Read: Redbooks: sg246769, sg247739, sg247845.
Have a presentation called "PowerHA System Mirror (HACMP) and PowerVM together - Building a "virtualized" cluster" ... Try to read that.

Thanks for your help, I solved the problem. EMC MPIO driver in PowerHA enviroment must be set by:

reserve policy to no_reserve and algorithm to round_robin.
