Hi Faraz
Yes, you should consider HNV (Hybrid Network Virtualization) with SR-IOV for new Power11 S1122s deployments due to its performance benefits and improved LPM support over traditional SEA. However, it requires specific SR-IOV-capable hardware, which may limit its deployment scope compared to SEA, but vNIC is a key enabler for migration in HNV environments.
To monitor statistics, You cannot directly monitor HNV statistics on the HMC. Instead, you must use the HMC to configure the HNV adapter and then use the OS-level tools within the LPAR to monitor statistics.
below are screen shot from LPAR HNV config

Subject: PowerVM SEA vs HNV configuration
What is the opinion about HNV (Hybrid Network Virtualization) with SR-IOV at Power11 S1122s?
Should we consider as standard Power Systems deployment?
What are the limitations & benefits of HNV configuration over SEA (PowerVM)
How do we monitor the HNV statistics over HMC
