I have a question which probably most of POWER HA 7.1 implementers would have. In POWER HA documentation it is clearly stated that heartbeat mechanism works on all available ethernet interfaces by default , plus through repository CAA disk as well. So my question is that with heartbeat mechanism over ethernet ( using multicasting or unicasting ) plus CAA repository disk , do we still need heartbeat over SAN or this is optional choice ?

I understand that it would be great to have "heartbeat over SAN " in POWER HA 7.1 , but what if we dont implement it ?
