  • 1.  PostgresSQL as a Data Source

    Posted Fri May 10, 2019 04:50 AM
Is anyone using PostgresSQL as a data source for archiving or masking?
I am testing Foreign Data Wrapper for CSV masking. It was real easy to set up the FDW and table for a CSV, took about 2 minutes. BUT, isn't there always a but?

We support running PostgresSQL servers at version 9.6 or 10.1 IBM supports 9.2 and 9.3 (9.3.4 is from 2014)
    as a data source.

Anyone using PostgresSQL, if so at what version?

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Ed,

I checked with the Optim support team and they have worked with several customers that are using PostgreSQL 9.4, 9.5, 9.6 and even 10 using the ODBC drivers that come with it. So in Optim, select 9.3 and use the aforementioned ODBC driver and you should be good.

I was using an ODBC connection on Windows for the test. So that would not help me.
