I have done some work on the browsers as it relates to Planning Analytics Workspace - https://ibm.box.com/s/46337wkc3wmyc75rqpq7aswi08u1z9zj

I am looking for input on how BP and/or clients have improved performance with their browsers as part of working Planning Analytics Workspace

I'm also interesting in this as viewing/editing attributes in the dimension editor in the "new experience" is completely unusable. It freezes up and does not respond. I'm using PAW v62 on cloud (and current Chrome release ) and will create a ticket.

What size dimension are you updating attributes on and how many attributes? Any rules dependent on the changes?

On dimension with about 100 members and 7 attributes, using Edge seems reasonable - not snappy but you can enter or paste values in.  Probably similar response times to exploration widget from my tests.

The dimension has about 400 members and about 10 attributes. And yes, the attributes do drive calculations.
The CPU usage for Chrome spikes to around 30% and fan starts spinning in the new experience. It works fine in classic though.

    Hi Kirk,

We improved hierarchy editor performance in Workspace 2.0.62 Local.  The same improvement will make it into Workspace 2.0.63 on IBM Cloud.

About two years ago we reworked the Workspace cube viewer for much better performance.  We are planning on a refresh of the set editor and hierarchy (dimension) editor widgets this year that will also take advantage of the previous improvements for cube viewer performance.

Thanks Stuart. I will test the new version when it's released.

You also mentioned dimension widget improvements coming later. I'll start a separate thread about that not working during lifecycle management migrations with different server names.
