pl1 CLOB data type declaration dumps for CLOB(6M)

  • 1.  pl1 CLOB data type declaration dumps for CLOB(6M)

    Posted Mon April 16, 2018 05:27 AM

    Hi,

    I wanted to see if anyone has faced the issue and found answers for that..

    PL1 SQL data type has been declared for CLOB(6M), when I go beyond this memory(For Eg-CLOB(7M)), the job errors with SYSUDUMP. Pre-Compile and Link-Edit goes fine here though.

    DCL XML_DOC         SQL TYPE IS CLOB(3M);
    DCL XML_RESLT       SQL TYPE IS CLOB(3M);

    What I want is, to have XML_DOC and XML_RESLT to have CLOB(64M). But whenever I increase the CLOB memory beyond the one that is declared above, it fails during execution.

    Below is the SYSUDUMP message printed in the spool during executing,

    JOB UDBS71P          STEP BS71P40         TIME 033627   DATE 18106    ID = 000

    LE initialization is failing (I strongly suspect). You need to make sure you have enough memory to run this job and that the LE STACK option is large enough. If changing those parameters doesn't help, I would suggest opening a PMR
