    Leading Global Investment Bank is looking for a highly capable AIX Systems Administrator with strong all-round skills in Linux (Red Hat) and Unix.

    You will be fully responsible for the administration of all Unix/AIX and Red Hat Linux servers in a large, business critical, high availability environment. You will have a range of varied duties from the installation of hardware/software solutions to disaster recovery/system backup and storage management. This is a role commanding a high level of responsibility with liaison at senior levels with clients, suppliers, and internally. You will also have responsibility for expansion/upgrade projects and prospects of managerial responsibility if desired.

    The successful candidate will be an expert in AIX administration (ideally AIX 5.2 or above), having proven experience for blue chip organisations in large environments. You will also ideally have an solid ability with Linux. IBM/(RHCE) Linux Red Hat certifications are advantageous. It is essential that you have supported Apache/Tomcat web servers, and have strong FTP knowledge. Investment Banking/Financial services sector isn’t essential.
