Thanks Chris, This is what i suspected so thanks for the clarification.
The thing that has caught us out is when the two FS5200 units where first configured they where both at the same site with 1GB link.
Then the customer relocated HA to the remote site with a much smaller pipe, we where never informed that this would be the case at the start of the project.
I have informed them of the cause and advise to try and expand the pipe size.
Thanks Stuart.

Subject: PBHA initial sync complete but recovery point outside policy
Hi Stuart,
The likely explanation for this is either that there was a significant increase in write workload to the production volumes that exceeded the available link bandwidth or that the systems were disconnected/unable to replicate for some time.
If it's the former, rather than pushing back on the production volumes the recovery point increases as it builds up a larger backlog of writes to replicate, and if the host write throughput exceeds the link bandwidth for a sustained period of time then the volume group may switch into a snapshot-based replication mode. The progress bar you're seeing is the amount of data that it needs to replicate to establish the next recovery point. If you have configured Storage Insights you can look at the host write throughput statistics to view the host throughput versus the replication link bandwidth to see if this is causing the backlog, or you could look at the event log on the systems to see if they were previously disconnected.
If you're seeing this regularly or need help reviewing the statistics then raise a support ticket and the team will look into this for you.
I hope that helps,
Chris

Hi everyone, hoping if anyone knows what is going on with this PBHA i/p mirror.
Not entirely sure what the below means?
We have initially replicated the full 4.13Tb but yesterday found a replication of around 386Gb running……and this completed.
Today I find a replication of 230Gb running but with 'Recovery point outside policy' warning?
At current rates the 230Gb replication should finish later this afternoon…….but not sure if this now means there will be subsequent replications for each of the interim days?
The links are 100MB with compression enabled and copy rate of 100%.
No change volumes set so wondering if this is what's happening and they are required.
Thanks Stuart.
