Good shout Mario ... I'd slightly disagree with it not being a huge problem though.
For any real dashboard designer - things like this 'enhancement' are a massive problem to the aesthetic, ergonomics and overall design of any dashboard - especially when creating them for senior stakeholders. Basically - you have a beautifully crafted dashboard - everything clean and laid out so that information is highlighted in the right way .. your head of function clicks on the dashboard element and the reaction is instantly "well .. that's just as ugly as if a hippo had mated with a crocodile!".
Ok - maybe a slight exaggeration - but what it demonstrates to me (and much like SO many other elements of how the PAW UI and dash-boarding has been programmed) is that those making these changes have never ONCE worked as an MI specialist or designer, that there's obviously no consultation with people that can advise the actual requirements of designers.
So IBM - here's how to fix the janky application of the so called enhancements and simply missed opportunities:-
• turn off the black border in live view - and make the expander a contextual option with a right click (this should have been obvious)
• Apply controls to EVERY element that toggles weather the scroll bars appear when PA can't handle zoom properly on relative views
• in fact - apply a toggle to the window whether to show scroll bars for the screen
• fix the broken colour controls
• fix the broken font controls
• urgently fix ALL of the regional settings
I could go on....

Subject: PAW new experience - Is it possible to hide the black widget frames
Hi,
This might just be me caring a bit too much for details but I wonder if it is possible to hide the black widget frames which are shown in the PAW new experience when clicking on a widget, e.g. a crosstab. I agree that the expand functionality which comes with it (right upper corner) can be useful, e.g. for visualizations. However in certain books it just does not look nice to have the black frame appear whenever you click on a widget and in some cases the black line even strikes through pieces of text or other objects in the book as shown in the screenshot. I am aware that I could just move the crosstab further down but in most cases you want to save as much space as possible in the book and the widget frame adds quite some "dead space" on top the widgets.
