    Hello!

    I just want to make ‘parallel backup’ on Windows 2000, unfortunately I got the following warning:

    -------------------------------------
    Warning code: INODSW1689
    Parallel backup not available on Windows, a sequential backup will be performed.
    -------------------------------------

    So, my questions are:
    1. Why parallel backup is not available on Windows?
    2. On which platform parrallel backup is available? On SuSE Linux, AIX, Red Hat Linux, Solaris, OS/390?

    Hello Dariusz,

    The documentation states:

    “The parallel backup feature is currently only available for Unix platforms. If you select it on a Windows platform, the backup will be performed sequentially, and a warning message will be issued.”
