  • 1.  OSGi container use case

    Posted Wed June 29, 2011 11:29 AM

When I look at the features of the new IS 8.2, it is marked that it now runs as an OSGi container. When I look at the documentation, I see some info on classloading, but it appears to me the IS still uses normal classloading most of the time (packages). I thougt (I’m by no means an expert with OSGi) that the power lied in using bundles, which could be started, stoppend, running different versions,…

Does anybody have an idea of how the container is used on the IS (apart from running your own bundles)?
Is somebody using the conatiner, and how do you go about doing this?

    Grtz
