    ​How is data protection used or what data protection protocol is used when the data is queried from Optim Connect using a ODBC or JDBC connection ? We have heard about Optim Connect can use encryption. I would like to know which  encryption is used ? Does it require server configuration ? Will it impact all users ? What is the security protocol used when data is at rest in Optim Connect ?   Thanks

    Just another point of view here. We specifically do "not" use Optim Connect Encryption. We use a third party transparent encryption at the storage level. Vormetric. https://www.vormetric.com/products/transparent-encryption  It simplified the support and maintenance of encryption.
